Frederick Borsch ’57 served on the CSR Advisory Council from 2000 to the present. He was the Dean of the Chapel from 1981 to 1987, returning in 2007 for a year as Interim Dean. Among other books, he was the author of Keeping Faith at Princeton: A Brief History of Religious Pluralism at Princeton and Other Universities. Borsch, who served as the fifth bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles from 1988 to 2002, was suffering from myelodysplastic syndrome, a blood cancer, when he died April 11, 2017.
