Reporters scour the web every day for expert voices to support, explain or critique the main elements in their news stories. They are always on the lookout for relevant sources; this includes academics with a wide range of interests as well as those with specific, niche interests. This event presents practical tips to relay your research and expertise to journalists whether it’s a ten-minute phone call or an hour-long interview. The workshop will end with practice phone calls.
Maham Javaid is general assignment reporter at The Washington Post. She has been reporting for over a decade from Pakistan, Qatar and the United States.
